Demolition Derby - August 7, 2010
2:00 PM at the Grandstand

     The Demolition Derby is one of the major family attractions drawing a large crowd to Woodstock Old Home Week.  Since the 80’s this event has proven to be a real crowd pleaser, with colourful vehicles, the smoke and dust filled sky, and the sound of crushing steel and roaring engines.  Co-Chairpersons Neil Porter and Emily Hull along with their officials can assure you a safe and action packed demolition derby.
     Demolition Derby is a diverse form of auto racing, where the necessary skills are a little bit of automotive know-how, and the guts to hit and be hit.   The demolition derby is broken down into heats, and in the final heat the driver in the last running car able to make contact is proclaimed the demolition derby champion.
     Approximately 125 automobiles will take centre stage and only one can come out the winner.   Come and see which one of these cars will triumph when the demolition derby takes place in front of the Grandstand on Saturday, August 7 beginning at 2 p.m.
